Chile hopes to become main ski direction of the Sonth hemisphere. In past Friday the shot of starting pistol was opened by a new snow season in the country. According to words of the director Nacional de Turismo Oscar Santelises, which he pronounced in a mountain-skier center La Parva, local resorts correspond the highest international level – in quality of snow they excel all other routes of the Sonth hemisphere.
Santelises declared that mountain-skier resorts are ready to accept the enormous numbers of guests from all corners of the world. Recently the publicity companies of the Chilean ski routes passed in the USA, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.
Most tourists arrive in Chile exactly from these countries. Santelises underlined importance of «snow» tourism on the whole for a sector. This direction brings about 200 million dollars annually from 1 milliard 700 millions earned tourism on the whole.
An official did a prognosis, that for this season a sector will grow from 7 to 10 %. At the same time, the main manager of La Parva, Thomas Grob, marked the world confession of the Chilean ski stations, on which annually trainings of sporting commands from all over the world pass. One of novelties of coming season will be become setting of landings carpets, simplifying sitting on the seat of rope road, already used in some winter centers of Europe and the USA.
